The glue of the far right

The advance of the far right is based above all on the demonization of immigrants and on cultivating the fear of fragile populations that foreigners will arrive and end up ruining them. But these fears wouldn’t get this far without the distorting effect of social media. Cell phones, which have allowed hundreds of thousands of people living on the fringes of the system to participate in any kind of dispute or public debate, are full of emotional messages, short and funny, full of winks and jokes, which facilitate identification with a cause or message, which exploit every weakness or anxiety, which give meaning to everything.
