When one winter evening in 2022, Judith Zagury received a phone call alerting her that a herd had been spotted 200 meters from Gimel, in Switzerland, where she lives and works with her animals, she was shocked by her feelings of vulnerability. However, the founder of ShanjuLab, a theater research laboratory on animal existence, knows that wolves have returned to the Jura Vaudois after more than a century of absence: he has been conducting investigations on the subject for three years. Just know and “feel it in your stomach” are two very different things.
