BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – Super Bologna continues to dream big. The team led by Vincenzo Italiano actually beat Napoli 2-0 on the eleventh official match day and flew up the standings: goals from Thijs Dallinga and Jhon Lucumì were decisive. Only in the 8th minute Italiano was forced to make the first substitution following the injury of Lukasz Skorupski: considering the absence of the second Ravaglia, Massimo Pessina, born in 2007, took to the field. After going through the initial study phase, in the 19th minute the first shot on goal came from Elmas, which was easily blocked by the opposing goalkeeper. Three minutes later, the home team threatened with Lucumì’s header following a corner kick that went wide. The match remained blocked, but in the 32nd minute Rowe tried from distance to break the balance: the former Marseille man’s shot bounced in front of Milinkovic-Savic and risked deceiving him, but the Serb managed to save himself from a corner. The player himself experienced a physical problem which made him have to leave the field at half-time, when the scoreboard was still showing the number 0-0.
At the start of the second half, Bologna returned to the field with great determination and aggression, until in the 50th minute they scored the opening goal through Thijs Dallinga’s volley: the Dutchman beat Milinkovic-Savic at the near post and took full advantage of a superb assist from the recently introduced Cambiaghi. Napoli tried to react, but had difficulty building an offensive pattern that could make things difficult for their rivals. In the 63rd minute the Bolognese player complained about the alleged red card against Hojlund, who had just received a yellow card after hitting Ferguson. The Rossoblù showed that they were better on the ball and in the 66th minute they doubled their lead through Jhon Lucumì who, after receiving Holm’s cross, anticipated Buongiorno and scored the winning goal with a header. Mister Antonio Conte tried to reopen the match with new energy, but nerves emerged when Neres and Lang were shown yellow cards after a few minutes. In the 76th minute Gutierrez created the clearest chance for the Italian champions: receiving a cross from full-back Holm risking an own goal by hitting the post defended by Pessina. The efforts made by eleven players from Campania did not produce results, but opened the door for a Bolognese counterattack who, in full recovery condition, almost scored a hat-trick through Dallinga.
