Serie A, Lautaro and Bonny deliver knockouts to Lazio and Inter at the top – Football

It may not have been ThuLa, but Inter got BoLa going: a goal in each half from Lautaro and Bonny beat Lazio in the first half of the night and allowed Chivu’s side to catch Roma at the top of the table. A tough win for the Nerazzurri, the fourth in a row after defeat against Napoli and the eleventh in the last twelve games also considering the Champions League, also considering that Sarri’s men arrived at San Siro unbeaten in six games and able to keep clean sheets in the last four. But Inter continues to travel with a large number of attacks, considering the best attack with an average of more than two goals per game in the league. The Biancocelesti, despite a superb performance with Zaccagni, perhaps woke up too late, coming close to reopening the match only in the final with Gila (crossbar) and Pellegrini and after taking the risk of conceding 3-0.

A match that went straight downhill for the Nerazzurri and straight uphill for Lazio. In fact, Inter started very strongly, immediately taking advantage of one of Chivu’s main tactics, namely very high pressing. In fact, after just two minutes, an offensive zone recovery near the Biancoceleste area saw Bastoni snatch the ball from Isaksen and serve to Lautaro, who fired a shot below the crossing point, putting the Nerazzurri ahead. Lazio tried to react through Zaccagni, who fired a high shot from the edge of the goal, then created some potential danger but didn’t worry Sommer too much. Inter tried to control possession and look for space even as the second half began, responding to Zaccagni’s chance with Sucic’s left-foot volley going wide, while Akanji failed to hit the target with a shot from outside. In the second half the first ring came from Biancoceleste, through Guandouzi’s right foot shot which Sommer blocked with a dive. The response was a strike from Barella who fed Lautaro, but the Argentine’s conclusion ended high. But the Nerazzurri stepped up the engine, the Inter captain releasing Dimarco, a low cross for the Frenchman who went behind Romagnoli and slotted into an empty net.

Sarri tried to shake up the Biancocelesti with three substitutions, bringing on Vecino, Pedro and Noslin, but Inter seemed to immediately put the game to bed with Zielinski’s jab from the edge beating Provedel. But it seems so, because the 3-0 score was canceled on VAR due to Dimarco’s touch at the start of the match. And the Biancocelesti barely reopened the game when Gila’s header hit the crossbar, post and then ended up in Sommer’s arms, while Manganiello pointed at his watch to signal that the ball had not crossed the goal line. Then Sommer had to say no to Pellegrini, who, after receiving a pass from Zaccagni, flew into the penalty area and fired from a tight angle only for the outgoing Nerazzurri keeper to respond. However, that was the last straw, because in the end Inter’s defense got tighter without giving anything else to the Biancocelesti, thus gaining three important points to finish at the top of the standings ahead of the international break.
