St Pauli woke up late in Freiburg

That SC Freiburg won 2-1 (1-0) against the Bundesliga on matchday 10 FC St Pauli won. It was Hamburg’s seventh consecutive defeat, equaling the club’s negative record.

Yuito Suzuki (40) and Maximilian Eggestein (50) scored for Freiburg, Louis Oppie (69) scored for St. The hosts dominated the game from the start, but were unable to find a gap for long.

Suzuki took advantage of goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj’s uncertainty, Eggestein added to the lead after the break. Oppie’s goal brings St. Pauli, but that wasn’t enough. Christian Günter became Freiburg’s new record player with 441 competitive appearances. He replaces Andreas Zeyer.
