Be alert to disruptions to transportation networks. From Monday 10 to Sunday 16 November 2025, users of line 12 of the Paris metro must be patient and review their usual routes. As part of the arrival of the new MF19 trains, traffic will be significantly affected on most lines.
All metros will make their final stop at Montparnasse-Bienvenüe station. Eight stations will have their services removed: Falguière, Pasteur, Volontaires, Vaugirard, Convention, Porte de Versailles, Corentin Celton and Mairie d’Issy, the terminal usually located in Hauts-de-Seine.
M12 bus, first choice solution
To compensate for this interference, RATP will prepare a replacement bus called M12. This service will serve all stations affected by the closure, allowing travelers to maintain their usual travel plans, although travel times will be extended.
Users can also choose line 13, accessible from Montparnasse-Bienvenüe. Direction of Porte de Vanves, where tram line T3a takes over towards Porte de Versailles. From there, travelers can also reach Balard and take line 8, which offers connections with line 12 at Concorde and Madeleine stations. Another possibility: get off at Châtillon-Montrouge and take bus 323 to Mairie d’Issy.
Shorter but more efficient, line 6 partially compensates for the closure by connecting Montparnasse-Bienvenüe to Pasteur.
Multiple bus lines are another partial solution. 39 serves on a par with Montparnasse-Bienvenüe, Pasteur, Volontaires, Vaugirard and Convention. 89 connects Montparnasse-Bienvenüe and Vaugirard. Finally, the 80 allows you to reach Vaugirard, the Convention and the Porte de Versailles (Exhibition Center).
The work is part of a larger program to modernize the Paris metro. The MF19, manufactured by Alstom, will gradually replace older trainsets on eight lines of the network. Line 10 is the first line to welcome the new metro in October 2025.
