‘Pavia Systems’, businessman Cristiano D’Arena under investigation – News

A new name has been included in the Brescia prosecutor’s investigation into the so-called ‘Pavia System’. In fact, Cristiano D’Arena, the owner of Esitel which carried out wiretapping of the Pavia prosecutor’s office for years, and the head of the company Cr Service which supplied vehicles for the prosecutor’s investigation, is also under investigation. The news was reported today by the newspaper “La Provincia Pavese”.
The investigation into D’Arena concerns alleged assistance the businessman allegedly provided to the judge. A similar investigation also involved Mario Venditti, a former deputy prosecutor in Pavia, and Paolo Mazza, a former prosecutor in Pavia and now a judge in Milan. In a search carried out a month ago, cellphones and computers were confiscated from D’Arena. The businessman’s defense explained that no car was sold at a low price and lunches in his restaurant were always paid for by the judge.
