iMeat, the professional exhibition for the meat sector will move to BolognaFiere in 2026 – Il Tempo

Rome, November 10 (Adnkronos/Labitalia) – Big news for iMeat, the first B2B fair in Italy dedicated to butchers, delicatessens and delicatessens, Ho.Re.Ca. sector, meat processing industry and leading medium-small artisan companies, which from 2026 will be held for the first time at BolognaFiere, one of the most modern and international exhibition centers in Europe. The tenth edition of iMeat will take place from 11 to 13 October 2026, marking a fundamental stage in the history of the event and a strategic step for its future development. After nine successful editions in Modena, the fair moves to Bologna to offer larger spaces, advanced services and logistics as well as an international platform capable of further enhancing the potential of the sector.

On the occasion of the transfer, a new company was founded, Ecod Extra Srl, which will organize the next edition of the event. This new reality is 51% owned by BolognaFiere and 49% by Ecod Srl, the publisher and organizer that created and developed iMeat during its more than twenty years of activity. This partnership represents a natural and strategic evolution, combining Ecod’s editorial expertise and market knowledge with the international dimension, organizational experience and global network of BolognaFiere Group, which has its own operational offices in China, India and the United States, as well as a reference partner for some of the world’s largest trade show events.

iMeat was born thirteen years ago from Ecod’s winning intuition, able to meet the needs of a sector in transformation, offering a unique meeting place for butchers, delicatessens, delis, Ho.Re.Ca operators. and small food industry. Today, with the transition to BolognaFiere and the birth of a new company, iMeat aims to strengthen its international projection, attract foreign buyers and operators, and consolidate its role as a reference for the supply chain of meat and related products.

With the new autumn location, the 11th, 12th and 13th of October 2026, the historic support of Federcarni and the new support of Uniceb as well as the main protagonists of the supply chain, iMeat confirms its vocation to be a business, renewal and innovation platform for all professionals in the sector. From traditional butchers to specialty catering, from technology to training, the fair will continue to be a meeting place for product culture and the future of the sector.

“The move to BolognaFiere marks a historic stage in the path of iMeat, which was born from intuition and grew thanks to the trust of thousands of professionals,” said Luca Codato, founder of Ecod and creator of iMeat. “With BolognaFiere we have the same vision: to provide continuity to the quality and identity of iMeat, opening it to new development opportunities and to an increasingly wider community, nationally and internationally,” he added.

For Antonio Bruzzone, CEO of BolognaFiere, “with the entry of BolognaFiere to the iMeat capital, we give further impetus to the growth of an event that has been able to interpret with competence and vision the evolution of the fundamental sectors of the Ho.Re.Ca. channel and the meat processing and cooking industry”. “Our goal is to accompany iMeat towards an international dimension, improving the supply chain of artisanal meat and gastronomy through our global exhibition network, from China to India, to the United States and Southeast Asia”, concluded Bruzzone.
