Two men and two women from Catalonia and France were injured this Monday when they were overwhelmed by a storm in the Los Charcones area, in the south of Lanzarote.
This accident comes after a weekend characterized by accidents of this type in the Canary Islands, which on Saturday left three dead and fifteen injured in Tenerife.
As sources from the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium informed EFE, in the case of Los Charcones, the bathers assisted by the staff are Catalan and French citizens, aged between 30 and 40.
The four were bathing in one of the pools that form following the tide, when a wave exceeded the level of the pool and dragged them away. They managed to stay on the coast alone, but suffered several bruises and some sprains.
One of the women was transferred to the Playa Blanca health center and the other three were taken by ambulance to the José Molina Olosa hospital in Arrecife. None of them are in serious condition.
