The battle is on again, at least from a legal perspective, over the power of gold to determine (negatively) the fate of UniCredit’s attempted takeover of Banco Bpm.
The bank in Piazza Gae Aulenti, according to what has been learned after the rumors of the last hours, has actually appealed to the Council of State against the TAR’s decision on the government’s ‘golden power’ bet (in relation to the Ops, which later failed, on the Piazza Meda bank).
Institutions contacted did not comment.
