Rome, November 10 (Adnkronos) – “It is not right that young people from Puglia have to go to study outside the region, it is not right that they have to go abroad to find work, it is not right that there are endless queues in our Apulian hospitals. In the emergency room you have to wait two years to get a mammogram, it is a shame.” That was deputy prime minister and Forza Italia secretary Antonio Tajani, speaking from the stage in Bari, at a rally of center-right leaders in support of the region’s presidential candidate, Luigi Lobuono.
“We as a government have invested in the health sector, but then if the regions do not and do not do their part, it will be difficult to solve problems which are also the responsibility of the regions without active participation from the regions. Times are biblical, they must change, the ER is no longer good,” he concluded.
