Palamara: “A prosecutor knelt down from Amara to frame me? Ready to report”

Former judge Palamara Wound he was a guest of Quarta Repubblica to comment on the justice reforms approved in parliament in recent days. Among other things, what was revealed during an interview with Nicola Porro, Palamara responded to the lawyer’s words Piero Amara released to La Verità. “During Perugia’s investigation of me and Luca Palamara, whom I never accused of corruption even though it was easy and useful to do so, a prosecutor jokingly knelt down in front of me, in the literal sense of the term, and said to me: ‘Lawyer, let me carry out an investigation into my life in Palamara’ (the accusation was that my colleague Giuseppe Calafiore would give him 40,000 euros for the appointment as prosecutor). I continue to tell the truth, which is that I did not damage Palamara“, said the lawyer. Words that reveal the important background that the former judge has also announced for legal action.

The judiciary is an institution that must confirm the truth. From the Secretary General of the Democratic Judiciary (Stefano Musolino, (ed) I expect him to put up a fight to confirm these things. I have given my lawyer a mandate to verify whether what Amara says is true. If this is the case, so many stories have been told, which somehow make the hairs on the backs of the judiciary stand up, perhaps they should…Palamara said before being interrupted. He then added that “the reality that I think is clear: there is an appointment, namely the Roman prosecutor’s office, the internal balance in the judiciary is broken, because the traditional agreement with left-wing currents has collapsed. When there is a shift towards a more moderate current, something happens by chance short circuit“.

Last week there was a strong verbal dispute between Stefano Musolino, secretary of the democratic judiciary, and Palamara: the former was present in the studio and the latter by telephone. “Let Stefano Musolino call me cursed, no. Let him say if he is ever investigated. It worked Democratic Judicial ventriloquistbut if he keeps it to himself. He also doesn’t have double standards“, were Palamara’s words to Musolino who answered at the end of the phone call:”We can see he is suffering, but let’s reveal the gossip he is talking about. Even before becoming a Judge, I was investigated. He is a public prosecutor and asked for dismissal, I hope in science and conscience. However, if Palamara is considered as boatthat means we have a problem“. Palamara was able to reply directly from the studio, stating that “My speech will never be a speech against the justice system, but rather against the hypocrisy that exists today in parts of the justice system“. For this reason,”because I have been and am acquainted with Musolino, in my opinion if you have to attack you have to attack him directly, otherwise it’s too easy“. Next, the former prosecutor continued, “I do not allow anyone to associate my surname with the word scandal and, most importantly, with hypocritical questions, with the great bluff that is taking place today within the justice system.“.

Palamara then turned the discussion to the topic of reform and drawtalks about short circuits, “embarrassing everyone”. However, he continued, “there is a section of the minority judiciary that wants the draw. The person who spoke to him, as the president of ANM, did not allow those who wanted a draw to speak“.

They didn’t let them talk, Palamara explained, because “anyone who has ever been a modernist, like me, does not want a lottery because it is the end of currentism. Therefore, as a contemporary figure, the judiciary is preparing itself to prevent him from losing power“.
