According to media reports, there were two deaths on Monday around the ATP Tennis Finals in Turin. As reported by the Italian news agency Adnkronos, among others, a 78-year-old man collapsed in the stands during the match between American Taylor Fritz and Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti. The man was taken to hospital by emergency transport, but died shortly after arriving.
Shortly before, a similar case occurred at a fan festival in Turin. A 70-year-old man collapsed, was taken to hospital with life-threatening symptoms and died of a heart attack shortly after he was admitted.
The organizers have been asked for comment. The ATP final for the best tennis player this year has been taking place at the Inalpi Arena since last Sunday. Hamburg’s Alexander Zverev also started.
