Car crashes into tree: one dead, one seriously injured

A serious traffic accident in Berlin-Biesdorf claimed human lives on Tuesday evening. Shortly after midnight, a vehicle left the road at Blumberger Damm for reasons that remain unclear.
The car hit several trees and ended up on its side, badly damaged. Two passengers were trapped inside the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries.
The Berlin fire brigade’s technical service had to free the two people from the wreckage. One person was transported to a clinic with emergency medical assistance. The second occupant died at the scene of the crash.
Berlin’s fire brigade was on duty with 28 emergency services for around two hours and was supported by volunteer firefighters. Two fire trucks, two ambulances, two emergency medical vehicles, one rescue vehicle and one command vehicle were used. Berlin police were also at the scene.
