On average, children aged ten to 18 spend more than 200 minutes a day on screen. Nearly half of teenagers sit in front of a screen late at night. This is shown by data from the Federal Statistical Office evaluated by ZEIT.

Even though social media is used most of the day, it dominates at night TV or Flow. It’s obvious: a short screen break for dinner at 6 p.m.
