Since the 1980s, Roland Orzabal has been one of the prominent faces of British pop with Tears for Fears. After difficult years, the singer is now experiencing a new beginning in his personal life.

The joy of belated fatherhood for pop star Roland Orzabal: The singer of the British band Tears for Fears has had another baby at the age of 64. In an Instagram post, his wife, Emily Rath Orzabal, shared a photo of their baby: a little girl named Eula. In the photo, the musician is smiling next to his daughter.

Orzabal, known for global hits such as “Shout” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, already has two sons from his first marriage, according to several media reports. His wife at the time, Caroline Orzabal, died in 2017 after a long illness. The musician addressed the loss in the album “The Tipping Point,” which Tears for Fears released in 2022 after a nearly 20-year gap.

The musician found new love in Emily Rath, who married Orzabal in 2020. In June 2025, Rath shared a photo on Instagram with her baby bump clearly visible; the child was now clearly a few weeks old.

Recently, Tears for Fears released the live album “Songs for a Nervous Planet” and several new songs. Orzabal dedicated part of it, “The Girl I Call Home,” to his wife Emily. Now there may also be a song for Eula’s daughter in the future.
