The prosecutor knelt in front of the suspect. “Let me trap Luca Palamara”. And the complaints began

That’s all that’s missing: a prosecutor from Perugia who knelt before lawyer Piero Amara, one of poison, slander and the mysterious Hungarian Loggia. He looked into his eyes and “jokingly” said: “Lawyer, let me carry out the investigation of a lifetime in Palamara.” Real? FALSE? Bragging? These revelations, collected by the newspaper La Verità, open a new view of the System, described by Luca Palamara in a successful book, co-authored with Alessandro Sallusti, that has changed Italians’ perception of the judiciary.

Now the lawyer for the former ANM president has uttered these words again, asking the court to resolve the matter. “Such statements, if true, constitute not only a case of crime but also a serious disciplinary offense that requires necessary verification of the actual occurrence of such facts by the competent authorities.”

A concept that more or less reflects what Perugia’s Attorney General wrote regarding Amara: “Indeed, it can be said that Perugia’s slander against Amara was precisely determined by the suspect’s desire to divert the interests of investigators by offering a different scalp.”

Palamara to be precise. He was the one to blame, the great accuser of the System who ended up before the Prosecutor’s Office and more than one of his colleagues who, until the day before, knelt down to ask for his help. The shocking conclusions of the Perugia Prosecutor General’s Office are now being studied by Brescia, where the file has been transferred.

However, Amara herself has now entered this labyrinth of truth and lies and seems to be accusing a prosecutor from Perugia, a prosecutor who initially seemed to take Amara’s truth seriously. Like Milan, who were then sensationally rejected.

Now Amara talks to La Verità. And surprisingly, after talking about completely different events, the lawyer revealed an unpublished episode, if it is true. “I never indulged the judge’s wishes – attacking the lawyers – even when I could have made huge profits from them.”

In short, Amara seems to want to get her act together. “During the Perugia investigation against me and Luca Palamara, whom I never accused of corruption even though it was pointless and easy to do – continued Amara – a prosecutor jokingly knelt in front of me in the literal sense of the term and said: Lawyer, let me carry out an investigation into my life in Palamara (the accusation was that my colleague Giuseppe Calafiore would give him 40 thousand euros for the appointment as prosecutor). I continued to tell the truth and that is that I did not corrupt Palamara”.

In short, in the swamp and mire of the System, in the maelstrom of a very slippery procedure, a would-be whisperer now appears with a cloak on his shoulders. Is it true or is it just another slander? Meanwhile, Palamara, at the urging of Giacomo Amadori, appointed a prosecutor: Mario Formisano. And he added: “There were several witnesses to the incident. It was June 12 2019, with me there were two of my lawyers, a major and a lieutenant from the Gico Financial Police.”

That was not enough, because Amara described the scene of the interrogation in detail: “For me it was a dramatic moment, I was smiling but I was in a cold sweat. I found myself in great difficulty and embarrassment, at that moment you are afraid that if you do not meet the expectations of the judge who is questioning you, you will suffer the consequences.”

In short, after the lies of Eni’s trial and the ramblings about the mysterious Hungarian cottage, which Amara described and never existed, a new chapter can now be opened regarding the alleged mastermind and the war between the robes.

An attempt was made to curtail Palamara’s system, and he was portrayed as a bad apple, immediately removed from the basket, even if corruption charges were dropped. But the chat is a series of names, exchanges and favors with many capes from all currents. And the truth could be, at least in part, rewritten.
