Supercentenarian Angelina Torres Vallbona, who until now was considered the oldest woman in Spain, has died at the age of 112, as confirmed by family sources.
Born on March 18, 1913 in the city of Bellvís (Lleida), Angelina Torres lived from an early age in Barcelona, near the Sagrada Familia. According to the specialized portal Longeviquest, Torres was the oldest living Spaniard since January 2025, after the deaths of the Catalan Maria Branyas (117 years old) and the Aragonese Piedad Loriente Pérez (113 years old).
You will have the privilege of connecting Angelina Torres with any passat. A wise woman, full of faith and goodness, very hardworking and endowed with great strength. I will always remember a phrase that I will say and do many words: we will help others, both men are full, but… pic.twitter.com/wMypUzxUI1
