Moscow, ‘we have taken control of the eastern part of Kupyansk’ – Il Tempo

Moscow, November 11 (Adnkronos) – Western group fighters have taken control of the eastern part of Kupyansk. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this, adding that “in the area of the village of Kupyansk, in the Kharkiv region, the assault units of the Sixth Army continued to destroy the encircled enemy grouping. The eastern part of the city was completely liberated”. According to the ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed to launch an offensive south of Kupyansk-Uzlovy to relieve the encircled units. The enemy lost up to 60 soldiers, five armored fighting vehicles, an anti-battery radar, three electronic warfare stations and five pick-up trucks. FPV drone operators also destroyed five Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles.

Kupyansk is the main defense city of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the eastern part of Kharkiv Oblast. Located on the Oskol River, it divides the city into two parts. Capturing the city would allow the Russian army to continue its advance into the western part of the region.
