Ihe had to get out of the forest. Édouard Philippe, under pressure since his declaration of the desire for the Head of State’s resignation, revealed part of a “massive” program, originally reserved for the post-municipal period: a reduction in taxes on business of 50 billion, compared with a reduction of the same amount in maquis aid, often described as a “gift” to the bosses. Fiscal shocks are claimed in the name of supply-side policies, although these are Emmanuel Macron’s favourites.
