Once upon a time there was “Thelma and Louise” from Vaucluse

ELocked in her bathroom, facing the mirror, Cathy, played by Lyna Khoudri, insults her reflection and repeats the robbery she is about to commit. An assumed reference to the scene where Robert De Niro, enters Taxi driverput an apostrophe on his twin in the mirror – “You talking to me?” » –, a cult series reinterpreted many years later by Vincent Cassel in Hate.

A manly cinema mythology, except that in the mirror this time the subtle, vulnerable and very feminine features of Lyna Khoudri can be seen and the character, seeing himself playing a tough guy, ends up laughing out loud. And except that, unlike these purely fictional male characters, the real Cathy does exist.

He is 60 years old today and, three decades ago, was the brains behind the real goodness…
