A doctor arrested for administering intravenous drugs in a Barcelona apartment | News from Catalonia

The Mossos d’Esquadra arrested an alleged registered doctor in Barcelona who was supplying drugs intravenously from an apartment in the Barceloneta district, after one of his alleged clients had suffered a poisoning which required him to be transferred to a health centre. The arrest of this person, 39 years old, took place on the 17th, when the Mossos were alerted to the presence in that apartment of a person who presented a high degree of excitement and nervousness, presumably after having consumed narcotic substances, as reported by the Catalan police through a press release.

Officers found various types of drugs, medical equipment and products used to administer intravenous injections in the house. Among the substances found in the house, small quantities of tusiketamine, MDMA, ecstasy pills and tablets of various types of narcotics, as well as precision scales and products for handling and dosing drugs.

The prisoner, brought to justice on the 20th, is accused of supplying drugs to drug addicts by taking advantage of his status as a registered doctor, according to the Mossos.
