Second fire in less than a month in the Roca brothers’ restaurants. If on November 4th the fire hit the Mas Marroch in Vilablareix, the establishment hit this morning was the Normal, located in Barri Vell in Girona. The firefighters received the notification a few minutes after dawn and six teams intervened on site, in Plaza de l’Oli in Girona. The fire mainly affected the extractor hood, the chimney and nearby materials, according to Bombers de la Generalitat via the social network

Chef Josep Roca also reported the incident on this social network, assuring that the fire caused little damage, that there were no injuries and that we will try to reopen the restaurant as soon as possible.

Three weeks ago, the family experienced another disaster at a restaurant. In this case, at Mas Marroch, located in the town of Vilablareix, in Girona. In this case the fire had greater consequences, as it completely destroyed the large wooden dome of the room and affected two adjacent buildings, an adjoining annex used as a kitchen, another annex located at the back which served as a warehouse and a restaurant room.
