A 43-year-old man plunged his car into an embankment. But no one came to help him. Now the police are waiting for witness statements.

A fatal car crash in Lower Bavaria went unnoticed for at least a day. As police announced, a farmer found the accident vehicle wedged between several trees near Perasdorf in the Straubing-Bogen district on Monday morning. According to investigators, the car had fallen into an embankment between Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the 43-year-old driver was driving on a remote area road in the woods and his car left the road in a swerve. The car rolled down the slope. The wreck is said to be invisible from the road. The driver was seriously injured in the accident. How the accident happened in the first place remains unclear.

Officials are now expecting witnesses: The deceased may have been at the “Rock am Berg” event at the Schötz guest house in Sankt Englmar on Sunday evening. Someone might notice it there. He was about 6 feet tall and wearing a black T-shirt that read “Nirvana,” officials said.
