One entrepreneur explains that cutting the cord has greatly affected his work: “I came to this village a year ago to start my business and my business depends on an internet connection. Not being able to work means not being able to get paid or do my job. »

Another woman spoke about her mother, who had an emergency alert system connected to the network and, because the cable was cut, had to move elsewhere: “She wanted to stay at home, but without an alert system she couldn’t stay alone. She had great difficulty walking and couldn’t get out to tell anyone if something happened to her. »

The outage was eventually repaired after technicians were forced to move the fiber optic box to another location. The town hall has indicated that it is open to finding a definitive solution for the village, while insisting that this must come from the operator: “We are always willing to help, propose alternatives, and the town hall facilitates the implementation of this connection. »
