A young man was shot and killed this Wednesday evening in Marseille, near Saint-Charles station, less than two weeks after the tragic death of Mehdi Kessaci, the younger brother of an anti-drug trafficking activist, we learn from consistent sources.
Marseille firefighters were called at 6 p.m. to the city’s third arrondissement, in the popular Saint-Lazare district, near Saint-Charles station, for a young man injured by gunfire.
Despite resuscitation efforts, the young man died on the spot, fire officials added, confirming information from police sources.
There were at least four recorded impacts on his body, in different places, mainly on the chest, back, arms and buttocks, according to information from France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

The shooter was at large this Wednesday, according to the same local media France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, while the scientific police team is still actively mobilized at the moment.
The circumstances of the murder were not known as of Wednesday evening. The victim, a young adult according to sources close to the investigation, was not well known to police.
The second city in France was buried a week earlier, Tuesday 18 November, Mehdi Kessaci, the brother of anti-drug smuggling activist, Amine Kessaci, was shot dead in broad daylight in front of a pharmacy by two men riding a motorbike.
According to an AFP count, fifteen people have lost their lives in drug trafficking-related killings since the start of this year in Bouches-du-Rhône.
