Michelle Yeoh, 63, will be honored for her “outstanding achievements in the field of film,” the festival said in a press release. “Michelle Yeoh is a visionary artist and performer whose work transcends borders – whether geographical, linguistic or cinematic,” said Tricia Tuttle, director of the Berlinale. The prize will be presented to him at the opening ceremony on February 12, 2026.
The Berlinale, which will be held from February 12 to 22, is the first major cinematographic event of the year in Europe and, along with Cannes and Venice, is one of the continent’s must-see events.
Michelle Yeoh became a member of the jury in 1999, then took over the screen in 1999 Tiger and Dragon And Everything Everywhere At Once.
