ROME (ITALPRESS) – Italian Shipping Federation and Assonautica Italia – national association for economic development
sea Unioncamere to develop joint projects in the field of sports,
training and maritime economic data – has signed a three-year agreement at CONI headquarters. Alliance between FIV and
Assonautica marks the beginning of a stable collaboration aimed at improving the relationship between sports activities, maritime economy and environmental protection. The agreement provides for the implementation of joint initiatives throughout the national territory and the establishment of the National Sailing Sports Observatory.
The two organizations will jointly develop training programs, events, cultural projects and awareness-raising activities, also in connection with the Blue Forum Italia Network and with activities related to the America’s Cup, to promote sailing as a sport and as a strategic component of the Italian maritime economy. The centerpiece of the agreement is the creation of a National Sailing Sports Observatory, which will collect and analyze data on participation, economic impact and territorial impact of sailing activities, as well as provide useful tools for institutions and operators.
The Italian Sailing Federation will provide it itself
a network of clubs and associations to collect data on regattas,
non-competitive activities. This collaboration also aims to:
increasing recreational shipping, a key sector of tourism
national maritime and an important part of the sports system e
