“AI is starting to enter French shopping baskets”: 32% of households plan to use it for Christmas shopping

Are you looking for someone to turn to for advice on finding the perfect gift for your dad or friend, or finding a great deal? One in three French people are ready to get help from artificial intelligence (AI) to shop during Black Friday or in preparation for the end-of-year holidays, according to research carried out by Kantar and the results of which we reveal. In fact, 32% of French people surveyed would do so or would be interested. Most willing to use it for Christmas shopping? Upper social category (39%), people living in the Paris region (39%), teenagers aged 18-24 years (51%) and 25-34 years (54%) and households with children (47%).

But what do they plan to ask the AI? It’s about saving time on research, finding the best deals or promotions, comparing prices between different sites or brands, or even optimizing your budget…
