From Hamburg to the world: “Aida Diva” has embarked on a 133-day voyage – with its Pacific premiere.
The cruise ship “Aida Diva” departed Hamburg on Monday for a 133-day voyage around the world. About 2,000 passengers are on board, which will travel to four continents, 27 countries and 55 ports until March 23, 2026, the cruise line reported in a press release.
With the visit to Hamburg, the Hanseatic city will record the Aida’s 112th visit in the current cruise year 2025. Eight more visits are expected by the end of this year. Cruise company Aida Cruises is organizing a world tour for the seventh time.
The route covers 35,843 nautical miles – the equivalent of about 66,381 kilometers. For the first time, the ship is headed to destinations such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and Hawaii as part of Aida’s world tour. The US West Coast with San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego as well as Central America and the Panama Canal are also part of the route.
New Year’s Eve is supposed to be celebrated in Honolulu. Twelve-night stays are planned in cities such as New York, Tokyo, San Francisco and Singapore.
There is an entertainment program with various guest artists. Actress Michaela Schaffrath appears in two dramas, and the ensemble from the series “The Crime Scene Cleaner” also appears for the first time. Musical acts include The Weather Girls. Announced guests also include author Hera Lind, crime writer Elisabeth Herrmann and former police profiler Carsten Schütte.
The gastronomic offer has been expanded: a new restaurant called French Kiss has been added, and the buffet will be complemented by a regional component. Wine tastings and workshops with TV chefs such as Stefan Marquard are planned.
Aida Cruises has announced its eighth round-the-world voyage in October 2026. The journey will last 126 days and start from Hamburg via South America, the South Seas and Australia to South Africa. This program covers 20 countries, 43 ports and crosses the Cape Horn and Cape of Good Hope.
