TV rights granted
New provider secures most of the Champions League

So far, Champions League matches have been shown on Amazon and DAZN. This will change in the future – one of the streaming services will come up empty-handed.
The new provider started broadcasting the Champions League. As reported by several media unanimously, UEFA has granted TV broadcasting rights to broadcast the first class from the 2027/2028 season. US broadcaster Paramount+ has acquired most of the rights for Germany. Amazon also continues to retain some of its rights. Streaming service DAZN, which has played most of the games so far, was left empty-handed.
Paramount+ will take over broadcasts of top games on Tuesdays (previously on Amazon). Amazon will show top games on Wednesday (formerly DAZN). All remaining games on Tuesday and Wednesday will be broadcast by Paramount+ (previously DAZN held these rights).
For German football fans, this means they now need four subscriptions to be able to watch all Bundesliga matches (shown on Sky and DAZN) and the Champions League.
Another possible innovation: According to “Bild”, the Champions League final will no longer be shown on free-to-air TV in the future, but on the streaming service Netflix. Only if the German team plays in the final should the match be shown on free-to-air TV. There has been no final decision from UEFA.
DAZN streaming service will continue to broadcast international football. He has acquired broadcast rights for the Europa League and Conference League. Until now, we still use RTL.
