Knitted case for your phone: Apple sells a carrying case for its iPhone. This product is reminiscent of the legendary iPod socks of the past.
The successor to the iPod sock is here: Apple has introduced a knitted bag for its iPhone. The group developed the bag together with fashion brand Issey Miyake. Knitted bags are available in a limited range of colors and are not available everywhere.
As Apple says, each bag is made from a single thread. The material is elastic and users can also see the appearance of the iPhone when the phone is kept in the pocket.
“iPhone Pocket can be worn in a variety of ways – in the hand, in a pocket, or directly on the body,” Apple said in a statement. Therefore knitted bags are available in two sizes.
There are “models with short straps in eight colors and models with long straps in three different colors,” he said. The colors are: “Lemon”, “Mandarin”, “Purple”, “Pink”, “Peacock”, “Sapphire”, “Cinnamon” and “Black”.
The bag called iPhone Pocket will be available starting November 14 at select Apple Stores and on the iPhone manufacturer’s website.
Knitted bags do not reach Germany, but can be ordered from here. The version with the short strap costs 149.95 US dollars (130 euros), for the version with the long strap Apple wants 229.95 US dollars (200 euros).
Apple founder Steve Jobs introduced the legendary iPod socks in 2004 for the company’s music player called the iPod. Small knitted bags are also available in several colors.
At that time, the knitted bag was received with mixed reviews by MP3 player owners. Critics complained about the player’s limited usability while in the bag.
