Several thousand demonstrators condemned violence against women and the “increasing number of murders of women” in Paris on Saturday.

At least 50,000 people demonstrated on Saturday, November 22, in Paris against violence against women and gender-based violence, according to a press release from the feminist collective Nous Tous. Several tens of thousands of demonstrators were also counted “anywhere in France”according to organizers.
The Paris march took place in the freezing cold at the request of the collective “Feminist Strike”which unites about sixty organizations. The demonstrators have “shout” theirs “outrage at the rise in murders of women”. “Activists who carry out daily calculations of this pain had to add the names of 6 new victims the day before our demonstration”detailed a press release welcoming community mobilization against gender-based violence “in the face of government cynicism.”
“We call for the launch of a global feminist action plan against all gender-based violence, through public policies and budgets committed to acting on attitudes and practices in the broadest sense, through intersectional and multisectoral approaches, which are the result of the convergence of struggles”define a press release.
