The Spaniard – irresistible at times – closed out the match in two sets with a score of 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 22 minutes of play. We have seen that against all three players he has faced so far in this tournament, he also has pressure and handles it very well so he deserves it”. And he reiterated: “I’m happy for him, he’s a great guy, he’s got an incredible team around him, he’s working hard to achieve these goals. If I had to choose another player as number one, I would always choose him, he deserves it. We’ll see next year.”
