In a meeting between employees and the Privacy Assurance board two days ago, former general secretary Angelo Fanizza publicly stated, as shown by the audio released by the Report on his social channels, that he had been “taken responsibility by the Board” and that he was not acting as a free agent, thus refuting the statement issued by the board immediately after his resignation. Not only that, the university – according to Fanizza’s claims – will even discuss with the Secretary General regarding investigation methods, evaluating whether to turn to a private company or to court.
“I am not acting like a free agent – says Fanizza in the audio -. The college has rightly made me responsible for initiating discovery responsibilities. It is discussed, not decided, whether it is necessary to identify institutional entities such as the judiciary, or whether to formally designate private companies. I challenge anyone to say whether I, in that forum, when private entities are discussed, do not categorically oppose the possibility that individuals could know about some designations”.
