Bagneux: a car rolls off and ends up at the RATP office

The photos speak for themselves. And became a witness to an impossible accident that occurred on the night from Saturday to Sunday, shortly before 1 am. Fences and walls explode, barriers open and most importantly cars are damaged, car hoods open, windows shatter and airbags inflate inside the office. We are at the RATP location, inside the maintenance workshop of line 13 in Châtillon (Hauts-de-Seine), this Sunday, November 16th.

How did this Mercedes A-Class end up in this office? Already driving at very high speed, the Jean Jaurès road in Bagneux, a town that borders the location of this transport authority.

Most likely, the driver lost control of the vehicle and missed the curve at the foot of the Pont des Suisses. Driven by its speed, the car flew for about twenty meters before crashing into the glass roof of the office.

Currently, there is no one inside, RATP confirmed. But “site supervisors immediately issued a warning,” the company said. The latter informed that the car driver and his passengers were being treated by firefighters.

Two people were injured

Police sources said that the two people suffered minor injuries and were then taken to Antony Hospital.

Despite material damage, “especially to the site fence and to the office building and meeting rooms”, “the site has been cleaned and secured (…) so that maintenance activities for the 13th train can continue”, continued RATP.
