Students have been using AI for a long time
That is, too Student they themselves are already one step ahead. A study conducted by the Vodafone Foundation shows: Three-quarters of young people aged between 14 and 20 have long used AI in everyday school life – mostly on their own initiative. 80 percent predict AI will completely change teaching in the coming years.
But at the school itself? There isn’t any! 76 percent of young people say that AI is not a problem – there are no rules, nothing Instructionno integration. The potential is clear: AI can analyze errors, personalize learning paths, and help students learn at their own pace.
However, many teachers in Germany still use outdated materials. Digital learning methods are rarely used. AI can help with this – making homework smarter, deepening knowledge and, most importantly, encouraging thinking.
But for this to work, teachers need one key thing: To know. Further training on AI topics in the classroom will only be available from mid-2024 – and demand is huge.
