Following the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man in Berlin-Lichtenberg, the alleged perpetrator has been identified. The 65-year-old man remains at large, police and public prosecutors announced.

According to police, the suspect is 65-year-old Armenian citizen Kyorogli Miroyan alias Magmet Miroi. The defendant is a fugitive and is currently hiding. Therefore, it is assumed that the man is still armed and dangerous.

The gunfire occurred on November 14 in front of a snack bar on Franz-Jacob-Straße. The 29-year-old man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there three days later, the prosecutor’s office said. A 28-year-old man was also injured and is still receiving medical treatment.

There is currently no information available about the background to the crime. The Homicide Team is looking for witnesses who can provide information about the search for the suspected shooter.
