French-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal may return to France in the coming days, Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Sunday. The author, who was imprisoned for a year in Algeria, was pardoned and released on Wednesday. He was transferred to Germany to receive medical treatment, at the request of the German president.
