Brian May
The stroke was a “wake-up call” for the Queen star
Queen guitarist Brian May suffered a stroke in September 2024. Since then, the 77-year-old man’s life has changed.
It could have ended badly: In September 2024, Brian May (77) suffered a stroke. The legendary Queen guitarist lost control of his left arm from one moment to the next. Now, a year later, the 77-year-old man spoke in more detail about the incident on the ITV program “Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh”, among others, as reported by “Mirror”.
May admitted in an interview that she had experienced this frightening moment several times. “But I’m lucky, I always get out. These things are warnings.” In May 2020, the musician had a heart attack and nearly died due to complications from treatment, and in 2021 he had to undergo eye surgery.
New fitness routine
A warning that May appears to be taking seriously. The rock star has turned his life around and consistently focuses on sports. He bikes several times a week and swims 100 laps in the pool once a week. “That’s what keeps me going,” the guitarist explains. “That’s what keeps me alive.”
According to his doctor, he will do everything right by exercising. Blood tests and other medical tests confirmed he was in good condition. “So I’m still here for now,” May joked.
Surprise in September 2024
In September 2024, Brian May announced a medical emergency that he had previously suffered. “They called it a mini stroke and suddenly, suddenly, I couldn’t control that arm,” the musician explained in an Instagram video at the time. “That’s pretty scary, I think.”
However, May deliberately did not want to make a big deal out of this incident. “The good news is: I’m fine,” he stressed and asked fans to refrain from wishing him the best. He is now back appearing in concert with fallen star Benson Boone (23).
