Bundesliga: HSV coach Polzin: candidate to replace Poulsen “very fit”

Even though there have just been injuries to the captain and new players Joseph Poulsen Coach Merlin Polzin of Hamburger SV is not worried about the alternatives. The 35-year-old is pleased that Ransford Königsdörffer and Robert Glatzel are “very fit,” said the coach before the match at FC Augsburg on Saturday (15:30). Polzin hasn’t decided who will start at the center of the storm. He also wanted to wait for practice on Friday.

Perhaps the last thing less considered begins glass from the beginning. Or Königdörffer could help as a substitute like against Borussia Dortmund. His late goal to make it 1-1 against Borussia caused huge celebrations at the Volksparkstadion. In certain circumstances, Polzin could also rely on Fabio Vieira as a suspended leader – the Portuguese returns to the squad after his red card suspension.

Omari and Elfadli are still absent

Polzin said of Poulsen’s injury: “It’s a minor injury. Of course it won’t be long until he’s back on the pitch. On the other hand, there’s no definite estimate of when he’ll return – the striker left the Danish national team during the international break due to the injury. This is the third time the 31-year-old veteran has been out of action since his move.

Apart from Poulsen, HSV still has to play without injured defenders Warmed Omari and Daniel Elfadli.
