Rome, November 21 (Adnkronos) – “It is easier to be a good parent or grandparent than to be a good ancestor, because it is about taking care of people you will never meet. These are the few phrases that inspired the Rewriters Fest five years ago, the first European festival dedicated to social sustainability”. Eugenia Romanelli, director of Rewriters Fest 2025, said this on the sidelines of the initiative unveiled today at the Mondadori Bookstore in the Alberto Sordi Gallery, in the heart of Rome.
Romanelli explains how the festival fulfills more than half of the goals of the 2030 Agenda dedicated to society: “In this festival, through guests, institutions, profit and non-profit organizations, we take responsibility for the happiness of everyone, trying to transform the ecological vision into an ecological vision”. Cultural Council members Massimiliano Smeriglio, Enrica Battaglia, and festival godmothers Violante Placido and Chiara Francini are expected to attend the opening. The director describes the atmosphere of the Gallery, driven by volunteers and participants: “There are many people who have decided, voluntarily, to flood the Sordi Gallery with thoughts, questions, contributions, professionalism, stand-up comedy, concerts”.
The festival adopts various means – from round tables to comedy – to address issues such as violence against women, cyberbullying, the power of data and the media: “We are waiting for you in the heart of Italy, in the heart of the capital, in Piazza Colonna, in Rome”, concluded Romanelli.
