Fontanellato, November 14 (askanews) – Casalasco looks to the future and aims to develop Made in Italy agri-food with the new Innovation Center inaugurated at the headquarters of Fontanellato, in the province of Parma. For a leading group in the integrated tomato supply chain, here’s a new center of excellence dedicated to research, development and continuous innovation.
Host Costantino Vaia, CEO of Casalasco, welcomed guests to the new building with a contemporary style, a laboratory of about 1000 square meters, an experimental kitchen, a tasting room and a modern auditorium: “Innovation has always been one of the fundamental drivers of the development of Casalasco, from a small cooperative to the first supply chain in the transformation of the tomato industry at the national level and one of the first at the international level”.
For this important and strategic stage, Adolfo Urso, Minister of Business and Made in Italy, was also a guest of Casalasco: “We are at the center of innovation and research, which I hope will become an example and model to follow of Made in Italy, Italian excellence, quality and our ability recognized by everyone to focus on innovation which is the true power of global competitiveness”.
For the new phase of the Casalasco group, which can also count on the support of the Italian Strategic Fund, represented by the CEO of FSI, Maurizio Tamagnini, who thinks big: “We want to make investments that can help the company grow and also become a symbol for the rest of the supply chain in the food sector. To ensure that these companies, large in Italy, medium in Europe and small in the world, become medium-large in Europe and the world”.
Quality and sustainability from the supply chain to the Innovation Center, which is open to art also thanks to the sensory archive and mural posters created by the artist Marianna Tomaselli, as well as the garden in the external area, designed to promote relationships and well-being.
