Champions, Europa League and Conference on Sky until 2031

Europe’s biggest clubs will continue to play on Sky and Now until 2031. Sky has also acquired exclusive rights for the four-year period 2027/2031 to broadcast 184 of the 203 UEFA Champions League matches per season and all 342 UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League matches per season across all platforms. The UEFA Champions League, which in its new formula has increased viewing with more matches, more teams and more champions, will remain on Sky and Now until 2031, therefore for the next 4 years, in addition to the current season and the 2026-2027 season.

“We are very proud to be UEFA’s main partner and to be able to offer great European matches exclusively to our customers until 2031″, commented Andrea Duilio, CEO of Sky Italia. “The renewal of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League confirms our entire commitment to make Casa dello Sport’s sports offer unique and to guarantee the best experience for our customers.”

We will continue to play 11 months out of 12 months, with 36 teams participating in the final phase, all in one group. Sky will exclusively broadcast 184 of the 203 UEFA Champions League matches including the Playoffs, 189 UEFA Europa League matches and 153 UEFA Conference League matches, also thanks to Diretta Gol, including three finals, for a total of 526 matches, in addition to the UEFA Super Cup. Sky Sport will continue to report on the goals and exploits of Italian teams and other big clubs in Europe, with the usual quality, great editorial stories and the best technology.

Prime Video renews agreement for best matches on Wednesday Champions through 2031

Prime Video has secured the rights to broadcast the best Wednesday matches of the UEFA Champions League in Italy and Germany, and the rights to the best Tuesday matches in the UK and Ireland, in a four-year deal from the 2027-28 season to the 2030-31 season. Prime subscribers will therefore have exclusive access to the best UEFA Champions League matches for the next 6 seasons: the current season and the 2026-27 season of the current rights cycle in addition to the four years of the new agreement from 2027-28 to 2030-31. This long-term update underscores Prime Video’s commitment to bringing the most prestigious sports competitions to Prime members at no additional cost. Starting from the 2027-28 season, in addition to the 18 best Wednesday matches, the best Thursday matches of the first day of the League Phase will also be broadcast exclusively by Prime Video in Italy and Germany. Thus, there will be 19 games exclusively for Prime subscribers in each of the four seasons of the new agreement.

The four-year extension to 2031 follows the excellent viewership results recorded by the European competition on Prime Video. The 2024–25 season’s debut in the UK reached more than 13 million viewers and featured high-profile matches such as Manchester City–Real Madrid, Liverpool–PSG and Arsenal–Real Madrid. Earlier this month, more than 10 million users joined Prime Video in one night to watch Liverpool–Real Madrid in the UK and Ireland, and PSG–FC Bayern Munich in Germany, setting new viewing records for the League Stage.

“This is a landmark moment for our service and fantastic news for Prime customers in Italy, the UK, Ireland and Germany: we are guaranteeing the biggest matches in European football until 2031,” said Alex Green, Managing Director of Prime Video Sport, International. “The combination of must-see matches and Prime’s expansive coverage resulted in record Champions League viewership across Europe, and we will continue to improve the quality of our coverage. The new four-year contract gives us long-term stability and allows us to innovate even more for fans, as we have done this season with the introduction of Prime Vision.”
