Christmas Arena: skating arrives in Paris (with cold weather)!

Snow and ice are coming this weekend in the Paris region, but not only that! It’s also the return of pop-up ice rinks to the heart of Paris to celebrate Christmas.

After several years of absence due to budget and energy constraints, ice cream is making a comeback in the capital and Île-de-France, offering a variety of options for rollerblading amidst Christmas markets and other winter events.

Ice rink at Parc André Citroën

The 15th arrondissement once again welcomes a large open-air ice rink: 600 m² of real ice in the heart of Parc André Citroën. The “Patins en Folie” event also promises special decorations and activities.

After several years of absence, the Galeries Lafayette ice rink returns on the roof of the department store, on the 8th floor. Offering stunning views of the rooftops of Paris, including the Opéra Garnier, complementing the magical experience of the Christmas windows and giant tree. This synthetic ice rink is accessible to ages 4 and over, with reserved sessions lasting 30 minutes.

Ice rink at the Tuileries Christmas market

In the heart of Paris, the Tuileries Christmas market offers many culinary stalls such as crepes, raclette, mulled wine… But also a small synthetic ice rink of about 200 m², located at the foot of the Ferris wheel. Although it is simpler, it will please the youngest children and fits perfectly into the market party atmosphere.

And finally, you’ll have to wait until mid-December to take advantage of it. Under its emblematic glass roof, the Grand Palais will be transformed into a giant ice rink: 3,000 m² of real ice, with an area of ​​200 m² dedicated to the youngest. Starting at 8pm, a DJ sets a very lively atmosphere.
