Ciriani, ‘never believed in conspiracies, the Quirinale case is closed’** – Il Tempo

Stresa (Vb), 21 November (Adnkronos) – The “case” related in the words of Francesco Garofani, advisor to the President of the Republic, “was closed, closed quickly and fortunately closed. I never had the slightest suspicion that there was a conspiracy within the Presidency of the Republic against the Government, against Prime Minister Meloni”. This was stated by the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Luca Ciriani, speaking at the Europa Initiative Foundation forum.

The Fratelli d’Italia “asked for an explanation which then arrived – he added – and the case was closed quickly, because it was understood that there was no conspiracy. Perhaps one should weigh a little the words, the place they speak, I do not like this politics consisting of gossip, spies, words half-true, half-false, from the keyhole. I prefer comparisons based on ideas, which may divide us a lot, but not the journalism that drips with this scandal”.

“In recent years we have put things in order: provocative agents who infiltrate youth groups by pretending to be friends; journalists who publish books about chats stolen from parliamentary groups; we have defined journalism as the dissemination of private conversations that there is no reason to laugh at in public. today the country is faced with very complex challenges, especially in foreign policy and it is a good thing if the heads of institutions, the President of the Republic and the President of the Council, collaborate in harmony: of course they represent different worlds, they do different jobs but it is true that they respect each other and work for the good of Italy.” So for the minister it was a “political fiction” that someone was trying to weaken Quirinale.
