Air stones increase oxygen supply and inhibit algae growth in the pond. You can read how to clean stones here.

Air stones are more than just a decorative element. This introduces air into the water, which increases the oxygen content. This is very important for the fish and plants in the pond. But dirt accumulates in the air stone. Regular cleaning is important so that it can work properly and aerate the pool.

The best way is to clean the bubble stones in the garden pond regularly with a soft brush and clear water. Here’s how it works:

Once the air stone is reconnected to the pump, it is recommended to test it immediately under supervision.

If there is so much dirt on the air stone that water and a brush are not enough, a vinegar solution may help. To do this, put the stone in a mixture of water and vinegar (ratio 3:1) for approximately 30 minutes. Baking soda or baking soda is also a popular home remedy that can be used to clean air stones.

In any case, the air stone should be rinsed thoroughly with water after treatment. No residue from home remedies ends up in the pool. Otherwise, this will harm plants and animals in the water.

If cleaning is done every four to six weeks, heavy deposits can be prevented. Then cleaning will be faster and easier. And only clean air stones do their job and serve as a visual highlight in the pool.
