State social spending in Germany is now above that of the carefree Scandinavian countries.

What makes social politicians happy should concern all Germans. Because an untethered welfare state will destroy itself permanently.

The worst thing is that the governments of Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz have done nothing to slow down development. If there is, they refuel it, e.g. B. with ever-new retirement packages.

It all depends on the current government. Chancellor Merz and the SPD have a historic task to future-proof pensions, care and health insurance.

This will only work if e.g. B. in terms of retirement, there are no more new billion-dollar plans.

Therefore, we can only hope for the younger generation of the CDU that they will remain steadfast in the pension dispute. And thus causing the entire multi-billion dollar retirement package to falter.

It is in the interests of a welfare state that is financially viable and will continue to function in the future.
