Possible redistribution
According to the available information transmitted by AESAN, the initial distribution took place between the autonomous communities of the Basque Country, Navarra, Castilla-La Mancha and Aragon, although it is not excluded that there may be redistributions to other autonomous communities.
This information was transferred to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated System for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI), in order to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
Recommendations
AESAN has recommended that people who have products affected by this warning at home should refrain from consuming them and that if they have already done so with any of the products from the affected batches and have symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea or fever), they are advised to go to a health centre.
In case of pregnancy, warns AESAN, it is advisable to consult the recommendations for consumption during pregnancy formulated by the Agency regarding important food hygiene practices for pregnant women, as well as a list of foods that should be avoided during pregnancy because they are associated with certain biological risks (among which stands out Listeria monocytogenes).
