Croatia turned the game around against Montenegro

Montenegro lost to Croatia 2-3 in Podgorica. The hosts led 2-0 before the visitors reduced the lead to 1-2 before the break and turned things around completely in the second half. The match remained competitive until the end and ended with Croatia’s winning goal.

Croatia went into the World Cup undefeated

Milutin Osmajic (3) and Nikola Krstovic (17) scored for Montenegro, Ivan Perisic (37, penalty), Kristijan Jakic (72) and Nikola Vlasic (87) for Croatia.

Croatia remained unbeaten in World Cup qualifying and secured group victory with 22 points. Montenegro remains in fourth place.
